How are the cakes priced? The cakes are priced first the amount of servings required and then additional costs may be incurred depending on the design of the cake (eg. structural elements, sugar people, bows, sugar flowers, sculpting... etc.)
Can I stop by and buy a cake? Belle Dolci is a cake studio creating one of a kind edible works of art. Every cake I make is custom made to order from start to finish so I do not have a stock of cakes for immediate purchase.
Do you have Cake Tastings & Design Consultations? Due to my busy schedule tasting and design consultations are reserved for cakes serving 75 or more without exception. If your cake feeds less than 75 but you would like to sample cakes before you place your order you can purchase a sampler! You may bring up to two guests. You are offered your choice of three cake flavors and three cake fillings to taste. You get to keep the leftovers. Cake tastings are $55.00.
What's your payment policy? A 50% non-refundable deposit and a signed cake agreement is required to reserve your order, if total is more than $500. If total is less than $500, 100% is due upon ordering with signed cake agreement. Final amount is due 30 days prior to the event.
How much advance notice is needed for an order? I require a minimum of: 4 weeks notice for a wedding cake order. 2 weeks notice for all other orders. Orders placed with less than the required notice will incur a rush fee of $100.00, However, I only make a small amount of orders per week and I am often booked far in advance. The earlier you place your order, the better.
Your order is not confirmed until we have received your signed cake agreement and 50% non-refundable deposit. The remainder is due no later than 30 days prior to your event. Cake orders placed with less than two weeks' notice require payment in full by credit card at the time of ordering. There is no refund on orders canceled within 7 days of the event date.
Can I come pick up my cake? Absolutely! Cakes that are not sensitive to transportation and will be traveling within 2 hours of my studio can be picked up. I do not recommend you transport cakes over 2 hours, especially if 3D or structural elements are involved. Customers who choose to travel longer distances with cakes do so at their own risk. When in doubt, just have it delivered.
